Il metodo di forma è ideale per la rettifica dei rotori per compressori d'aria. Si possono usare mole in ceramica o mole al CBN elettrodeposto.
Il metodo è molto flessibile e consente di abbinare alla rettificatrice un apparecchio di controllo, anche esterno, collegato con il CN della macchina.
Eventuali errori di profilo riscontrati dall'apparecchio di controllo vengono comunicati al CN che provvede alla correzione automatica del profilo.

Any profile error found by this equipment are transmitted to the CN of the machine in order to modify automatically the profile of the wheel.
